Visitors usually assume a taxi to a London attraction is the expensive option. For one person it often is. For a family or a group it frequently is not — because Tube, bus and rail fares are charged per person and multiply, while a car is one price whatever the number of passengers.
Four people travelling from a central hotel to the Tower of London pay four separate fares on public transport, plus the walk at each end. Our fare is a single figure for the vehicle, door to door, with the luggage or pushchair in the boot.
The practical case is often stronger than the arithmetic. London’s attractions are spread across the city and many involve awkward interchanges, long escalator runs and a walk at the far end. With small children, elderly relatives, mobility needs, a pushchair or a wet afternoon, the door-to-door journey is worth considerably more than the price difference.
Everything is included in the quoted fare — the Congestion Charge, ULEZ, fuel, parking and tolls. There is no night, weekend or holiday surcharge, so an evening theatre collection costs the same as a midday museum run.
And if you are doing several sights in a day, hourly hire is usually better value than separate fares. The car stays with you, waits while you are inside, and holds your coats and shopping between stops. £45 per hour with a three-hour minimum.
One price for up to 4 passengers in an E-Class, 6 in an MPV, 8 in a minibus. Children count as passengers but do not multiply the fare.

Central London hops. Short journeys between attractions within the central zone typically run £25 to £45 depending on distance and time of day — a museum to a theatre, a hotel to a landmark, one sight to the next. Congestion Charge included. For three or more such journeys in a day, hourly hire at £45/hr usually works out cheaper.
Windsor Castle — £95 from central London, £45 from Heathrow. The most popular day trip out of the city, and much easier by car than by rail. Windsor is close to Heathrow, so combining it with an arrival or departure day makes particular sense.
Hampton Court Palace — £75 from central London. Southwest on the river, awkward by public transport, straightforward by car.
Kew Gardens — £60 from central London. Multiple gates spread around a large site, so tell us which one you want.
Greenwich — £55 from central London. The Royal Observatory, the Cutty Sark, the Maritime Museum and the Old Royal Naval College. Note the Observatory sits at the top of a genuinely steep hill in Greenwich Park — worth knowing before you plan the walk.
Wembley Stadium — £65 from central London. Event days bring road closures and heavy congestion; book the return in advance, because finding a car as 90,000 people leave is not realistic.
The O2 Arena — £60 from central London. Same advice on event nights.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour (Harry Potter), Leavesden — £110 from central London. Northwest beyond Watford, and genuinely difficult by public transport. Tours run to timed slots, so tell us your entry time and we work backwards.
Stonehenge — £320 return from London as a full-day hire with waiting time included. Two hours each way; the car stays with you.

Many attractions are pedestrianised. Covent Garden piazza, the South Bank riverside walk, parts of Bankside and the Olympic Park are all closed to vehicles. This is not a limitation of our service — no car can reach them. The driver uses the nearest legal stopping point, which is usually a short walk, and will tell you exactly where you are being dropped.
Some landmarks have no address at all. Big Ben is the bell, not the tower, and neither has a public drop-off — Parliament Square is a working roundabout with no stopping. We deliver to the nearest practical point and explain the short walk.
Timed entry slots. Most major attractions now run timed admission. Tell us your slot at booking and we will work backwards from it, allowing for traffic at that hour. This matters most for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, the Tower of London and the London Eye.
Event days change everything. Wembley, the O2, Twickenham and the London Stadium all bring road closures and severe congestion. So do state occasions around Westminster and the Mall, and marathon or protest routes across the centre. Tell us and we plan around it.
Book the return before you go in. Especially for stadiums and arenas. Trying to find a car as a full house leaves is not realistic, and a pre-booked collection at an agreed point saves an hour of standing in the cold.
Child seats are free and must be requested. Give us the ages at booking and the right seats are fitted before the car arrives. We do not rely on the legal exemption that allows children to travel unrestrained in licensed taxis — we would rather carry the correct seat.
Luggage and shopping. On hourly hire the car stays with you, so coats, bags and purchases live in the boot rather than being carried around all day. This is the single most appreciated feature of hourly hire and the reason most people book it a second time.
