These terms explain how bookings work, what is included in your fare, and who is responsible for what. Please read them before you book. By making a booking you agree to them.
1 · Who we are
Get London Transfer is a trading name of GLT Transfers Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.
| Company number | 17386276 |
|---|---|
| Registered office | Unit A1357, 4–6 Greatorex Street, London E1 5NF, United Kingdom |
| info@getlondontransfer.com | |
| Website | getlondontransfer.com |
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean GLT Transfers Limited. "You" means the person making the booking.
2 · What we do, and what we do not do
We are a booking agent, not the transport provider.
We take your booking and arrange for it to be carried out by a licensed private hire operator. The journey itself is provided by that operator and their licensed driver, using a licensed vehicle. We do not hold a Transport for London private hire operator licence and we do not operate vehicles ourselves.
We work with a network of licensed partner operators across London and the United Kingdom. Every operator we work with holds a current private hire operator licence issued by the relevant local authority. Drivers hold a current private hire driver licence and vehicles are licensed accordingly.
When you book through us, a contract for the journey is formed between you and the operator who carries it out. Our role is to arrange that booking, take your details, confirm the price, and support you before and after travel.
3 · Making a booking
You can book through our website or by messaging us. A booking is not confirmed until we send you a written confirmation by email containing a booking reference.
Please check that confirmation carefully. It shows exactly what we have on file — addresses, date, time, vehicle, flight number and price. If anything is wrong, reply to that email straight away. We cannot be held responsible for a journey that goes wrong because the details you gave us were incorrect or incomplete.
We ask for at least two hours' notice before pickup. We will always try to help with shorter notice, but we cannot guarantee a vehicle.
4 · Prices and what is included
The price shown when you book is a fixed, all-inclusive fare for the journey and vehicle you selected. There is no meter and no surge pricing. The price does not change afterwards, provided the journey does not change.
Included in your fare
- Airport parking and pickup charges
- Meet and greet on airport pickups
- Complimentary waiting time (see section 6)
- Congestion and other road charges where they apply to your route
- All taxes
Charged separately
| Child and infant seats | £10 per seat, requested at the time of booking |
|---|---|
| Waiting beyond the free period | £25 per 30 minutes (see section 6) |
| Extra stops or a changed route | Quoted before the journey wherever possible |
| Soiling or damage | A cleaning charge may be passed on by the operator |
Return journeys
Return fares are quoted as a single price covering both directions. The return leg is subject to the same terms as the outward leg.
5 · Payment
Unless we tell you otherwise, payment is made to your driver on the day of travel, in cash or by card in the vehicle. Nothing is charged when you book.
If we introduce online payment in future, we will say so clearly at the time of booking.
6 · Waiting time
| Airport pickups | 60 minutes of complimentary waiting, calculated from your flight's recorded landing time — not from your booked pickup time |
|---|---|
| All other pickups | 15 minutes of complimentary waiting from the booked pickup time |
| Beyond the free period | £25 per 30 minutes, or part of it |
We will always try to contact you before any waiting charge is applied. If your flight is delayed, your driver's schedule is adjusted using live flight information and no additional charge applies within the free period.
Please give us your flight number when you book. Without it we cannot track your flight, and waiting time will run from the booked pickup time instead.
7 · Changes and cancellations
If you cancel
| More than 4 hours before pickup | Free of charge |
|---|---|
| Between 4 and 3 hours before pickup | 70% of the fare |
| Less than 3 hours before pickup | 100% of the fare |
| No-show | 100% of the fare, plus any waiting time incurred |
A no-show means the passenger does not arrive at the agreed pickup point, and cannot be reached, once the complimentary waiting time has passed.
To cancel or change a booking, reply to your confirmation email or message us, quoting your booking reference. A change is not effective until we confirm it in writing.
If the journey cannot go ahead
Very occasionally a journey cannot be carried out — for example because of a vehicle breakdown, severe weather, road closures or events outside anyone's control. In that case we will do everything reasonable to arrange an alternative vehicle. If we cannot, you will not be charged.
Your cancellation rights
Contracts for passenger transport services are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The cancellation terms above apply instead. Your other rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
8 · Passengers and luggage
Each vehicle has a stated maximum number of passengers and suitcases. Please book a vehicle that fits your party and your luggage. A driver may refuse to carry passengers or luggage beyond the vehicle's licensed capacity, and in that case the fare remains payable.
Children count as passengers, including infants travelling on a lap.
Smoking, vaping and alcohol are not permitted in the vehicle. Drivers may end a journey where a passenger behaves in a way that is unsafe, abusive or unlawful, and the full fare remains payable.
9 · Vehicle substitution
Vehicle images on our website show the class of vehicle, not the exact car you will receive. Makes and models shown are examples.
Occasionally an operator may need to send a different vehicle — for example after a breakdown or a last-minute driver change. Any substitute will be of the same class or better, and will seat at least the number of passengers and suitcases you booked for. If only a smaller vehicle is available, we will contact you first and you may cancel free of charge.
10 · If something goes wrong
Please tell us as soon as possible — reply to your confirmation email or message us, quoting your booking reference. We will look into it with the operator concerned and come back to you.
Because the journey is carried out by a licensed operator, some matters are for that operator to resolve. We will pass your complaint on, follow it up, and keep you informed. Where an operator repeatedly falls short, we stop working with them.
Complaints about a licensed driver or vehicle may also be raised with the licensing authority that issued the licence — for London journeys, Transport for London.
11 · Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for arranging your booking properly, passing accurate details to the operator, quoting the price correctly, and dealing fairly with you if something goes wrong.
We are not responsible for the carrying out of the journey itself, which is the responsibility of the licensed operator and driver.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount of the fare for that booking. We are not liable for indirect losses such as missed flights, missed connections, lost earnings or lost bookings. Please allow enough time for your journey, particularly when travelling to an airport or port.
12 · Your information
To arrange your journey we collect your name, contact details, addresses, travel date and time, flight number where given, and any notes for your driver.
We share what the operator and driver need in order to carry out the journey. We do not sell your information to anyone.
We handle your information in line with UK data protection law. You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@getlondontransfer.com.
13 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published on this page on the day you booked. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
14 · Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country.
